Sapphire reveals RX 9070 XT Valor Mortis Edition with custom backplate and themed shroud
Limited‑edition GPUs have become increasingly common this year, with several vendors producing themed backplates and shrouds tied to new game launches. Sapphire is now joining that wave with a Valor Mortis‑themed version of its NITRO+ Radeon RX 9070 XT.
Created in partnership with AMD and One More Level, the studio behind Ghostrunner and the upcoming first‑person Soulslike Valor Mortis, this special‑edition NITRO+ model swaps the standard backplate for Sapphire’s MagniPlate featuring artwork from the game.
The Valor Mortis theme carries through the rest of the cooler too, with matching colours across the triple‑fan shroud and custom badges on each AeroCurve fan.
Sapphire’s hidden power‑cable design keeps the shroud unobstructed, and an ARGB light strip runs along the edge for those who want to match their lighting to the game’s atmosphere. Buyers will also find a coupon for Valor Mortis inside the box, redeemable through AMDRewards.com.
Outside of the cosmetic changes, the card retains the same RDNA 4 performance as the regular NITRO+ RX 9070 XT, with support for AMD’s FSR technologies for high‑refresh 1440p and 4K gaming.
Sapphire says the NITRO+ Radeon RX 9070 XT Valor Mortis Edition will be available through selected retailers later in October 2026.
KitGuru Says: Game‑themed GPUs have been popping up more frequently this year, and Sapphire’s Valor Mortis Edition adds another to the list. Would you consider picking up a limited‑edition card like this?
