Battlefield 6 登陆 Game Pass，但新作 Call of Duty 首发不入驻

Battlefield 6 arrived in EA Play on 13 October, which puts it in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Season 5, Siege of Vegas, went live the same day. Call of Duty is a different story. Modern Warfare 4, published by Microsoft-owned Activision, releases on 23 October without Game Pass.

What subscribers get

It can be played on Xbox Series X|S, on PC and through the cloud. Only two plans include it. Those are Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Premium and Essential do not, and on console Essential is only needed for online play with a purchased copy.

Members of EA Play get a Deployment Pack for new players plus a Season 5 EA Play Pack, claimable until 18 January. There is also a 10 per cent discount on eligible EA digital purchases.

A season in Las Vegas

Season 5 is rolling out in stages. Two maps opened on 13 October, Vegas Strip and Area 51, along with the Rapid Royale mode and a new ranked battle royale season with leaderboards. Day-one weapons were the Mk 24, RSPR, Z84M and ELR-40.

On 10 November the Casino Heist update brings the European Casino map and the NSW4 carbine. Operation High Roller and the Platoons system will not arrive until 8 December, with the Frozen Aces update. Two new vehicles, the M142 MRAS and the B-81 Cavalry, arrive in the later phases.

EA has announced no gambling mechanics for the season. European Casino appears in EA’s roadmap as a combat map, and EA has not tied it to any real-world venue. Actual roulette and blackjack stay outside Battlefield, and at Wild Tokyo Casino both are available through https://wildtokyo-aussie.bet/ on desktop or mobile. The casino map is almost a month off.

What it costs in Australia

Microsoft’s Australian store pages, checked on 15 October, put Game Pass Ultimate at A$25.95 a month, against a US price of US$22.99. Locally PC Game Pass is listed at A$16.95, Premium at A$17.95 and Essential at A$12.95. Buying the game outright meant A$109.95 on the Australian Xbox Store, although a sale on 15 October had brought that down to A$43.98, matching the 60 per cent discount that took the US price from US$69.99 to US$27.99. Its end date is not listed.

Call of Duty sold separately

Microsoft has officially left Modern Warfare 4 out of Game Pass at launch. According to Activision, the campaign opens in early access on 16 October for players who pre-ordered the Standard or Vault Edition digitally, a week before the full release on 23 October. Locally the standard edition is A$109.95, the same regular price Battlefield 6 had before its sale.

Neither Microsoft nor Activision has said whether or when it will join the subscription. So in October a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber gets Battlefield 6 and the free season content at no extra cost. Anyone wanting the new Call of Duty at launch will have to buy it.

The rest of October’s wave

All six games Xbox announced on 7 October arrive on Game Pass on their release day. Five are already out. Echo Weaver from Moonlight Kids and Forever Ago from Third Shift landed on 8 October, followed on 13 October by Deep Dish Dungeon from Brazil’s Behold Studios and Valor Mortis from Poland’s One More Level.

Only one studio in the wave is Australian. Chained Beasts, from Sydney’s Featherweight Games, came out on 15 October. Beyond These Stars, by Dunedin-based Balancing Monkey Games from New Zealand, joins it on 16 October.

Classification

Battlefield 6 has been rated MA 15+ in Australia since 4 August 2025, with the consumer advice Strong battle violence, in-game purchases and online interactivity and chat. No separate entry for the full Modern Warfare 4 turned up in the government database at the time of checking. Its beta was rated MA 15+ on 17 September, while the Vault Edition Upgrade Pack 1 add-on received R 18+ on 6 October with the consumer advice High impact violence and High impact drug use.

Since 22 September 2024, Australian rules have given games with paid loot boxes a minimum M rating and games with simulated gambling a minimum of R 18+. Scenery alone, casino or otherwise, does not automatically fall under that rule. So the shooter stays at MA 15+ with no gambling-related consumer advice.
