YouTuber 因展示《Hellraiser: Revival》 gameplay 遭频道永久封禁

A YouTuber has had their channel permanently banned from their platform for showcasing Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival gameplay that featured blurred explicit content.

The YouTuber in question goes by xj0nathan on X (formerly Twitter) and has informed players about the issue. He has been running his YouTube channel for over 10 years and has built a subscriber base of 190,000 during that time. However, one particular gameplay video from Saber Interactive’s latest title appears to have erased all those years of hard work.

Content Creators Might Have to Be Wary of Showcasing Hellraiser: Revival Gameplay

Spotted by IGN, On September 23, xj0nathan revealed on X that their YouTube video about Hellraiser: Revival had been removed from the platform due to “nudity.” A few days later, their channel was also deleted. The creator explained that the video contained an hour of content and included a short scene that had been blurred. Despite this, their channel was still taken down, while several other users still had similar content on their channels without any censorship.

Just yesterday, the creator posted another update with a screenshot of a response from YouTube. The response stated, “We have reviewed your content and found severe or repeated violations of our sex and nudity policy,” so they removed the channel. The response also stated, “Explicit content that’s meant to be sexually gratifying isn’t allowed on YouTube.”

xj0nathan has tried to argue his case multiple times, but to no avail. He has received that this was the first violation he has received, and he also argued that the content they are classifying as sexual gratification was only a short scene out of a 1-hour gameplay video, which was censored too.

The latest post on X (formerly Twitter) from the creator calls for YouTube to conduct “one final serious review” of his case. He stated that if this doesn’t happen, he will have to consider pursuing appeals under the DSA framework and may initiate legal proceedings with his lawyer.
