Progress update:
I've successfully dumped a retail DualShock 4 JDM-011 running Nov 4, 2014 firmware using the FPB flash-patch method via Fujitsu serial programming mode.
- Valid 262,144-byte (256 KB) firmware dump obtained
-Controller identity extracted successfully
- Process verified and repeatable
- Suitable for preservation and reverse-engineering research
Note: A verify_fw (CMAC) failure is expected on this early v1 2014 firmware and does not affect controller authentication or identity extraction. The controller identity data is intact and ready to be used for controller projects, research, and development.
