Hi all. I'm genuinely seething right now. Apparently, there's a new scam going around on itch.io where people will take games and present it as their own, while probably loading the flipped file with who-knows-how-many viruses. This has just happened to me, with the demo of Desperation, Reincarnation and Fawning Over a Corpse.

Do not download any Trinket project that you don't see being officially from me or in the Things I Helped Make section! I will only use the AwesomeTrinket username on my itchio, Steam developer page, or social media! If I ever rebrand, you will know for months ahead of time!

I'm not going to link the fake projects here, just in case. They were flipped by a user called liamepp, though, so that should be enough to report these stolen games. Seriously, the filesize on the stolen projects is more than double the originals. I have no idea what's in it to turn a 188 MB game into 300 MB. I do not want to find out. I highly suggest you don't download it either. Just report it as stolen and stay wary.

I'm... furious, to say the least. I'm going to more or less copy-paste this over to Desperation, Reincarnation's demo as a warning as well. I don't know what to do besides wait and hope itchio takes it down. The thief turned off comments as well, so I can't leave any to warn people it's not mine. I think they're botting ratings too; both FOaC and D,R's stolen copies had 30 5-star reviews, and it only changed when I added mine.

I wish I had a cheery little closing line. But I don't. Just... stay wary, I guess, and double-check any game you download here.
