《DiceVaders》讨论帖:具有 Balatro 般爽感
DiceVaders |OT| It's got that Balatro Juice
What is DiceVaders?
It's a dice based roguelite where you draft units and strategically place them on the field. Choose your power ups wisely and rack up enough of a high score to conquer each planet in the system.
While StarVaders had you play as humans defending against an alien invasion, the roles are reversed in DiceVaders! Your units are the different enemy units featured in StarVaders.
This game is super similar to Balatro, especially in the way the power ups (artifacts) and units activate. Like Balatro, triggers occur left to right, so make sure you have things in an optimal position!
Humanity had a good run, Now it's time to take back what's yours. Dive into a dice-based roguelike deckbuilder where your tactical decisions, not luck, determine the fate of the planet.
Build a growing alien force on a turn-based grid where every placement matters. Each turn you can acquire different units, artifacts, budges and chrono. Place your invaders strategically in the grid to enhance your scoring potential.
Each commander brings a distinct strategic approach, specialized synergies and XP scaling possibilities unlocking new ways to dominate. Each equipped with unique perks and artifacts so each run gives you new ways to send your attack score into the stratosphere.
Earth won't be destroyed without a fight. Beware, the legendary Pilots from StarVaders will show up to protect the planet, each armed with unique abilities designed to disrupt your invasion.
Experiment with absurd synergies and push the game's systems to their absolute limit. Discover a broken combo that launches your score into orbit and out smarts the pilots.

DiceVaders has that Balatro Juice!
Been playing the DiceVaders Playtest at the moment - it seems like you're able to play a lot of it, while the devs drop patches with new features and rearrange things on the go. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3917700/DiceVaders/ You can still join and invite your friends. So, how does...

It kind of looks like there might be too much going on in terms of visual razzle dazzle. Starts to feel like it's engineered to lock in attention span like a slot machine or something.

Yeah, when you get a good build going, you just get a ton of numbers popping up for a couple minutes. It's very satisfying to see.
Another roguelike for the hoard!
Really loved StarVaders but so far this isnt hitting for me yet.

Oh man, I played... 16 hours already in 2 days! Having a lot of fun, I unlocked Chapter 5 last night.
One thing I wish the game improved upon is the progression system. Currently, each character has a set of artifacts specific to them that you unlock. But that's it. I wish there were new unit unlocks or generic artifact unlocks. That way the sense of progression would feel more exciting.
I playedthe demo a ton almost to the point where I feel like I don't need to get the game and had my fill but I'll purchase just to support, they deserve it for the hours of fun i had with the demo
Man, this is hitting me much harder than Starvaders, just reached chapter 3 and it's really addictive, wow
I'm so in for this. StarVaders is amazing and loved that they shared the playtest for this so long ago.
Really looking forward to jumping in now it's launched.
Started playing the game for the first time last night, and completed successfully my first run today!
Pulled what I believe is a miracle of a run by putting all my eggs into 1 single unit.
Still shaking a little bit of excitement haha

so, what's the consensus on this game? I'm mostly interested in its depth and synergies potential: is it as good as a Balatro or StS on these levels?

I would say so, it has a LOT of depth.
Personally I would say the game is more on the difficult side of things, in line with Slay the Spire. Balatro is significantly easier (though you have harder difficulty levels to make for it)
Watch the video above so see how I made a strategy work around a single 1 unit beating the game by using all sorts of artifacts and dice manipulation.

Great, this is what I wanted to read! I'll go and watch your run then.

Report back your thoughts!
I am now playing StarVaders for the first time and it's also very fun

Finally beat Ch 6. Hatching a Dragon and getting a ton of Mult off of its Power (which increased by 50% at the start of each turn thanks to a Legendary artifact) was key to not losing to bullshit!
I think I'm in chap 6, more enjoyable than Balatro.
Very excited about this one... I just want to finish Combolands and Well Dweller first before jumping in. I know if I start this I will lose momentum on all other games!
Still absolutely loving this btw. There's a ton of depth, and it can be brutal. It's fantastic, as expected.

I finally figured out how to do the Challenges: on the little roguelite looking map window with different paths, you're supposed to click on one. Yes, it's labeled Challenges, but I guess I was dumb and didn't understand it.
Anyways, these Challenges breathe a lot of life into the game. I cleared 7 of them now. Choosing the best class for each Challenge modifier is pretty key.
One Challenge sacrificed all your units after defeating a Pilot. Freezing units in the shop to buy them at the start of the next act, artifacts that synergize with destroy/sacrifice, etc were all great. Best thing I got was an astral unit that would just create a copy of itself after it died, with 100% increased power. I cloned that thing many times, it was great!

Powerless Challenge complete! Just had to make all my units super strong, piece of cake! Not really it took like an hour to get this run
Not grabbing it just yet but it definitely has my curiosity! Have another roguelite or two I should really give a good time first on switch, so I'll wait for the next sale. I heard starvaders is coming to switch as well before long? I'll have to throw that in the wishlist too when it does

Forgot to take a screenshot, but I went into endless mode on the Daily Multiverse challenge and was using Migo units (the basic ones you start with), most of them had power ranging from 50 million up to __e12 and an artifact with +8 repeat to Migo that score. I powered them up that much thanks to the Astral Spider's webs that boosted adjacent units upon being destroyed.
Every time I'm not playing Dicevaders, I'm thinking about Dicevaders and wishing I was playing.
I bought this game when I heard Balatro and I can kinda see the juice but I'm just finding wrapping my head around the into onboarding so complicated for some reason.
