The Pokémon Company‘s Pokémon TCG Pocket is getting a new expansion, Dual Fusion, on October 28, 2026. The expansion introduces dual-type Pokémon, including Psychic- and Fighting-type Mega Mewtwo X ex and Water- and Darkness-type Mega Greninja ex.

Alongside the new cards, you can look forward to rental decks, an Elite Deck featuring Mega Rayquaza ex, and several events celebrating the game’s second anniversary.

New cards and decks

Dual Fusion brings six rental decks that you can use until December 15, 2026. The game will also send you a new Dragon-type Elite Deck featuring Mega Rayquaza ex, Dragonair, and Gouging Fire.

From October 31, you can also get new covers and backdrops featuring Mega Greninja. This goes in line with the new collecting and battling features

Booster packs will release every six weeks

The booster pack release cycle is changing from around four weeks to roughly six weeks. This gives you more time to collect cards before the next expansion arrives, with additional events and missions planned throughout each cycle.

New ways to collect cards

You will be able to earn Immersive cards through collection missions, while the new First Partners Special Pack features first partner Pokémon from all nine regions. Special Packs use their own stamina, which recovers weekly. Weekly missions will also introduce three themed ★1 promo cards over three weeks.

Community Decks and unlimited Rental Decks

The new Community Decks feature lets you browse decks created by other players, including popular builds and your friends’ decks, then copy them using your own cards.

Rental Decks will also become available as soon as a new booster pack launches, with unlimited uses and support for versus battles. Limited Battle events will introduce special deck-building rules, with rewards based on your wins.

Trading and sharing improvements

Trading and sharing will become easier with features that help you identify cards missing from a trading partner’s collection and cards on a friend’s wishlist. More features and improvements are planned to arrive alongside future booster packs.
