Remedy has posted a new sales milestone for CONTROL Resonant, as the title crosses a major threshold.

CONTROL Resonant released last month to critical acclaim— and now we know, commercial success. The team at Remedy have posted on social media:

The text was accompanied by the above image, celebrating 1 million copies sold. The game released on September 22nd in early access on PS5, and in full on September 24th across Xbox and PC as well.

I reviewed the title back at launch, loving it and stating:

CONTROL Resonant is an excellent genre-shifting sequel. It moves the series from crazy flying third-person shooting into crazier, even more flying’ier third person melee combat. Dylan Faden takes over protagonist duties from his sister Jesse, and leads a story that far surpasses that of the first.

There are some classic Remedy rough patches when it comes to the map and level design, but is that enough to ruin your experience? No, not at all

CONTROL Resonant is one of Remedy’s first self-published titles, since ending their relationship with Xbox and moving from 505 Games for the original CONTROL, to Epic Games for Alan Wake 2.
