《Crimson Desert》Charting the Unknown DLC 公布新特性

Crimson Desert’s upcoming DLC, Charting the Unknown, has a whole set of new features to offer that players can check out below.

During September’s State of Play event, players were provided with a release date for Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown DLC; however, soon after, the developers informed players that it had to be delayed for two weeks to provide “a more polished and stable gameplay experience. Now with just over a week to go, players have a rundown of all the new additions.

Crimson Desert Charting the Unknown Brings Three New Storylines

A new post from Pearl Abyss reveals all the features coming to Crimson Desert with the Charting the Unknown DLC on October 29. Players will get three new storylines, one each for Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane. First, complete the main story, then access the new one through the Journal menu. Players also get a new ocean-focused storyline once they finish the “Howling Hill” quest in the main story.

Ocean Exploration and Ship Building

Charting the Unknown takes players into the sea, where they can explore Pywel’s underwater world and discover ruins, chests, new creatures, and mounts. There are no special conditions for going underwater, but it consumes breath, and players can outfit themselves with items like a diving suit to extend it.

After finishing the Howling Hill mission, Crimson Desert players can finally ‘chart the unknown’ by building their own ship through a related storyline. To build a ship, players can either send comrades to a ship-building dispatch mission at a port or purchase one from a Fleet Office manager.

Romance, Festivals and Upgraded Housing

Moreover, Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown DLC will let Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane build deeper interactions with NPCs and deepen their relationships to reach romance or even marriage. The housing system upgrade becomes available after setting up the camp in Howling Hill and completing Luke’s Request under the “Grounds of the Sunrise” Greymanes Faction quest.

Greymane Castles, Business Management and Garden of Trials

Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown DLC also features three castles for players to claim. Players must complete the main story and relevant quests before taking on strongholds to unlock missions that let them claim castles and decorate their courtyards and interiors with unique objects and furnishings.

The new expansion also adds the option to rent and manage businesses like a restaurant or a smithy. Lastly, the DLC will add new combat-focused content called Garden of Trials, where players can face bosses they have already met during their adventures in Pywelm, one after the other. Players can access it after completing the main questline.
