A new soulslike is about to land, and we can soon step into the world of Valor Mortis. Developed by One More Level, Valor Mortis is a first-person action Souls-like game from the same developers that gave us Ghostrunner.

Here’s when the game goes live, so you know when you can begin your next hardcore adventure.

Valor Mortis goes live on Tuesday, October 13. The release date was announced by One More Level, and I don’t expect changes this late. The following countdown will expire once the game goes live.

What to expect from Valor Mortis

In Valor Mortis, you play as William, a soldier under Napoleon. You have been brought back from the dead, but the Europe you knew has changed. A mysterious plague has now swept over the continent, and you have been empowered by that very plague.

For you, death is a chance to become even stronger. As you complete every run, you will master a combat system of parries, dashes, and different finishers across a vast array of weapons. You have to combine your skills and gear to unlock new supernatural abilities and destroy your enemies.

Valor Mortis features a compelling story filled with historical figures and realities that intertwine with elements of horror and the supernatural. You can explore the secrets hidden under the shadow of the plague as you proceed through the campaign.

While there’s no public demo, you can wishlist the game on Steam to stay on top of the upcoming launch.
