Publisher SNEG announced it will be releasing Dungeons & Dragons RPG Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor on Steam and GOG on November 6, 2026. A demo is available now on Steam, which will let players transfer their progress to the full release. The new release will include an optional turn timer, widescreen support up to 4K, full controller support, reworked camera controls, improved visuals and UI, adjustable combat animation speeds, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. Players will be able to adjust various modernisation options, including a “Legacy” mode with the original gameplay and visuals.
Developed by Stormfront Studios, Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor is the fifth and most recent game in the Pool of Radiance series, set in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting. Originally released in 2001, the game features an isometric third-person perspective and utilises turn-based combat based on Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition rules. It sees players set out to the abandoned elven city of Myth Drannor to investigate and put a stop to a newly discovered Pool of Radiance that is emanating evil.
