Switch Discord Activity – 来自Switch本身的Discord Rich Presence

Switch Discord Activity shows what you're playing on your modded Switch as your Discord status. No PC, no phone app running in the background: the console posts the status to Discord by itself. You log in once by scanning a QR code with your phone, and that's it.

It's a sysmodule plus a small homebrew app for login and settings. It started as a fork of llsc12's SwitchRPC (big thanks, the Discord Social SDK approach is theirs). It has changed a lot since then, so here's what's different.

What's different from SwitchRPC

• !Works where Discord is blocked!. SwitchRPC sends the status to discord.com, which just times out on networks or in countries that block Discord. Everything here goes through gaming-sdk.com, the Discord Social SDK's own API host, which stays reachable. Your phone still needs to reach Discord once, for the login.
• Paused status. Press HOME, open the eShop or your user page, or put the console to sleep: the status changes to Paused · HOME Menu Go back to the game and it continues from where it was.
• Timer starts right away. Modded consoles often have a wrong clock (no time sync), which made the elapsed timer appear only minutes later. The start time is now corrected with Discord's clock.
• !Forwarders and homebrew get their own icon!. The eShop and tinfoil are tried first. If neither knows the title, its own icon is uploaded once and cached. Homebrew from the Homebrew Menu shows as "Homebrew".
• No game open: optionally shows HOME Menu, Nintendo eShop, Album, User Page…
• Faster and more reliable. A game switch shows up in ~2 seconds. Failed updates are retried every 30 s. Powering off or rebooting clears the status instead of leaving it stuck for 20 minutes.
• Extras. Docked/Handheld, total playtime (from the console's own play stats)
• Every part can be turned off. Timer, icon, game name (to just say "Playing a game"), dock mode, playtime… plus a one-button master switch.
• New app. A graphical menu in English and Japanese, a QR code on screen for login, a diagnostics page and a step-by-step Discord connection test.
• Tokens are never written to the log (the original wrote them to the SD card).

Install

1. Atmosphère is required. Grab the zip from Releases and copy atmosphere and switch to the root of your SD card.
2. Reboot.
3. Open Switch Discord Activity from the Homebrew Menu and choose Log in with Discord.
4. Scan the QR code with your phone (same Wi-Fi) and tap Authorize.

Start a game and it's on Discord within a few seconds. Not showing? Discord → Settings → Activity Privacy → turn on sharing your activity.

If you used SwitchRPC before, this replaces it (same module id) and you stay logged in.

Good to know

• Login uses SwitchRPC's Discord app and its small redirect page (static.llsc12.me). The token only allows setting your presence: no messages, no servers.
• Forwarder icons are uploaded publicly to freeimage.host (or catbox.moe), because Discord only shows images by URL. Only the icon is sent.
• Homebrew launched from the Homebrew Menu shows as "Homebrew". hbloader doesn't tell which .nro is running.
• Not affiliated with Nintendo or Discord. Use at your own risk.
