Following its reveal earlier this year, Konami has finally released Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse on consoles and PC. To be exact, the game is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
In case you missed its announcement, Belmont’s Curse is the first new mainline entry in the Castlevania series in years, and it’s a big release for fans. After all, this new Castlevania game returns to the exploration-based 2D gameplay of beloved titles like Symphony of the Night.
What makes Belmont’s Curse interesting is that it has a unique art style. What’s more, the game is mainly developed by Evil Empire, a French game studio. Notable indie studio Motion Twin (of Dead Cells fame) also assisted in this game’s development.
Story-wise, the game is set 23 years before Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, and it follows Rose Belmont, the daughter of Trevor Belmont. In this game, Rose must face off against various monsters as she explores the streets of Paris and Dracula’s castle.
Alongside the standard edition, players can also get digital or physical versions of the Midnight Edition, which features various bonuses, including:

- Digital Sound & Art Gallery: Features 71 tracks from the title
- 3 Bonus In-Game Items: Trevor Style Costume / Sypha Style Costume / Family’s Grace
Meanwhile, players who pre-ordered, along with those who purchase the game early, will get an Alucard Style costume for free.
