索尼自今日起强制要求 PS5 固件升级至 14.10，停留在 14.00 及更低版本的设备已无法登录 PSN。固件 14.00 与 14.10 分别于 9月16日及 10月1日推送，14.10 修复并阻止当前 PS5 越狱漏洞利用。未升级主机将仅能离线使用，多人游戏及数字版游戏访问受限。
PS5 owners still sitting on firmware 14.00 will no longer be able to sign in to PlayStation Network as of today ; as Sony has forced a mandatory requirement for 14.10, according to reports.
Without the update consoles are forced offline - which puts anyone holding on to older firmware consoles for the sake of jailbreaks and homebrew in an awkward spot.
Firmware 14.00 arrived on September 16th with 14.10 following quickly after on October 1st including further security fixes. Of course, the update to 14.10 fixes and prevents the current exploits from working.
The Relapse jailbreak was recently reworked to support up to firmware 13.60 , with the exploit giving kernel read and write access; as well as the Byepervisor Reborn hypervisor bypass that has also been quite popular in recent weeks. Both could successfully jailbreak PlayStation 5 consoles until 14.00 came along.
Staying offline means multiplayer as well as access to your digital titles is now restricted so for many, the update cannot be simply ignored.
Sony requiring firmware updates for PSN access is nothing new and recent reports suggest that GTA VI will also require firmware 14.00 at a minimum also.
