Indie developer and publisher Octopus Panic has revealed a new gameplay trailer for GRAVHOUNDS during The MIX Fall Showcase, giving players a closer look at its chaotic co-op action and base-building mechanics. The footage comes from the game’s September playtest, which attracted more than 20,000 players.
GRAVHOUNDS is a 1-4 player co-op action-builder that challenges players to gather resources, construct defenses, and survive increasingly dangerous enemy swarms. The game will launch in Early Access on PC and Xbox Series X|S on November 2, 2026, with day-one availability through Xbox Game Pass.
The latest trailer showcases two biomes, snow and desert, alongside footage of two missions. In the Coffee Cat escort mission, players must protect their hub-based ally while navigating dangerous territory. Meanwhile, the Refinery mission tasks players with defending a hardpoint and collecting resources using their Collector.
Teamwork plays a major role in the game, but players will also have plenty of tools to turn the tide of battle. The Grav Beam lets them fling objects and enemies across the battlefield, while turrets, generators, and fabricators help establish defensive positions. Players can also unlock abilities and upgrades during each shift, allowing them to adapt to increasingly difficult encounters.
Mobility is another key part of the experience, with players able to boost in any direction and hover to dodge attacks or quickly assist teammates. During resource-gathering missions, players must also decide how long to remain on hostile planets, as staying longer increases potential rewards while making the growing enemy swarms more dangerous.
Players can try GRAVHOUNDS for free through its demo on Steam and Xbox ahead of its November launch. With its mix of frantic combat, resource management, and cooperative base-building, it looks like one to watch for players who enjoy working together under pressure.
