《巫师3》高清复刻版光追全开有性能痛点,新 Mod 让玩家按区域定制 Path Tracing 运行

CD Projekt Red Pushed Path Tracing In The Witcher 3, But A New Mod Lets You Curate Where It Runs

BloodySupport 在 Nexus Mods 发布 Dynamic Region Graphics Mod,让《The Witcher 3 Remastered》玩家按区域、室内外、战斗动态切换 Ray Tracing、Path Tracing 与 DLSS / FSR 2 / XeSS 画质。

Among the many improvements CD Projekt Red introduced in The Witcher 3 Remastered is support for path tracing on PC. While it is generally transformative, its implementation in the third entry in the series isn't always so, as not every location looks great under certain lighting conditions. And with its high performance cost, keeping path tracing on at all times can make for a very frustrating journey across Velen, Skellige, and Toussaint.

Thanks to a new mod, however, players can now have different ray tracing and path tracing profiles, as well as upscaler settings, which switch dynamically between regions, outdoors, and indoors locations, all easily configurable with an in-game menu.

"Dynamic Region Graphics automatically switches your Ray Tracing, Path Tracing, and upscaler profiles as you travel between regions, enter indoor rooms, or engage in combat — without having to pause and change settings manually," reads the official description of the Dynamic Region Graphics mod developed by BloodySupport on Nexus Mods.

The official list of features does a great job highlighting why this mod could be an essential download for all The Witcher 3 Remastered players as much as any official patch is, as it will deliver the best possible experience under any condition once it is set up properly.

  • Per-Region Profiles: Choose Default, Ray Tracing, or Path Tracing for Vizima, White Orchard, Kaer Morhen, Novigrad, Velen, Skellige, Toussaint, and special worlds.
  • Indoors and Outdoors: Set separate graphics profiles for interior rooms (taverns, castles) and open-world exploration.
  • Dynamic Upscaling: Automatically adjust DLSS, FSR 2, or XeSS quality when Path Tracing or Ray Tracing engages (e.g. keep native DLAA outside, switch to Quality or Auto with PT).
  • Disable During Combat: Instantly reverts to your baseline settings during fights for maximum smoothness and high FPS.
  • In-Game Menu: Fully configurable under Options > Gameplay > Dynamic Region Graphics.
  • No Script Merger Needed: Uses native REDengine annotations without overwriting vanilla game script files.
  • 18 Languages: Fully translated into all official game languages.

As several games have employed dynamic resolution scaling to keep performance consistent, The Witcher 3 Dynamic Region Graphics is another take on the same concept that is incredibly interesting. While such an option is unlikely to become the standard, there's little doubt that dynamic performance profiles with different settings would work wonders in some games, especially with ray tracing and path tracing, which are often so demanding that many just turn them off to enjoy the best game performance.
