While Soulframe has been dishing out a lot of invitations to its pre-alpha/Preludes testing, you still needed to wait for said invite to arrive to your inbox if you wanted to try out this fantasy multiplayer RPG. That appears to be changing very soon, however, as Digital Extremes has offered its first word that open testing for PC players is on the horizon.

“After 16 Preludes updates, we’re soon preparing to welcome even more Envoys to Midrath with our next major development milestone: Open Preludes!” reads the Discord announcement. “We’ll discuss what this means for the future of Soulframe, including our plans to open Preludes to all PC players without the need for an invitation.”

The discussion being referenced is a developer livestream scheduled for Friday, October 30th, at 3:30 p.m. EDT, when the devs of the game will also offer the first details of the game’s Preludes 17: The Veillands update. More details about this update weren’t provided, but we expect that the trickle of news will increase to a faster flow soon enough, along with the opening of the doors to more testers.
