Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is out now, and to celebrate, CD Projekt RED announced that Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a new update this week.
In case you missed it, the long-awaited new Edgerunners anime is out now on Netflix, and much like the first season, all episodes of the show are available to watch. Note that, while this is the second season of Edgerunners, it’s not a sequel to the first one, as it features an unrelated story with a different cast. Of course, the events still take place in Night City, not to mention that some eagle-eyed fans may spot some familiar characters from the game.
Currently, we’re still watching the initial episodes of the show, but based on the reviews, Edgerunners 2 should delight fans, even though it might not reach the same highs as the first season.
To celebrate the show’s release, CD Projekt RED is set to launch the Edgerunners 2 Update (aka Update 2.5) on October 22. This update will be released on the game’s PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S versions, and it will add new content inspired by Edgerunners 2. It will also be a free update, and it’s also set to release on the Switch 2 version, though there’s no specific release date yet.
More info on this update will be shared tomorrow via a special episode of REDstreams. This will be streamed via Twitch, YouTube, and Steam.
