One of the things we love doing at The Outerhaven is putting the spotlight on upcoming indie games, and today we have another one that caught our attention. Toy Chute: A Sorting Game is being developed by solo developer WigiGames and is built around a pretty simple idea: you’re floating around a space station filled with lost toys, grabbing them and tossing them into the correct chutes.

What makes it a little more interesting is the addition of Combo Rings. Whenever a toy passes through one of these rings, it plays a musical note, allowing you to create little melodies while you sort everything around you.

The game also makes use of zero-gravity movement, letting you push off walls, drift around the station, grab toys, and line up your throws. There’s no timer or fail state, either, so the focus seems to be more on relaxing, experimenting with the physics, and seeing what kind of music you can create along the way.

Honestly, it’s a strange little idea, but I mean that in a good way. Sorting games are already oddly satisfying, and adding zero-gravity physics and music into the mix is enough to make Toy Chute worth keeping an eye on.

Massive crowd of colorful, toy-like characters filling a neon-lit, futuristic arcade with curved tubes and platforms in the background.

Penguin character in a red bow tie riding a neon looping ride in a vibrant arcade-inspired world.

Blue cartoon astronaut figure stands among a crowded swarm of colorful plush toys in a neon sci‑fi playroom with purple walls and futuristic windows.

Colorful arcade room scene with a large yellow mascot in blue gear and hundreds of tiny flying toys.

Toy Chute: A Sorting Game is currently listed as coming soon for PC via Steam and can be wishlisted now.
