The fan-made gaming scene has never been so busy, and at times monstrously slow, thanks to the morphing of multiple decompiled games, crammed into one to create versions, hacks, and games that we never thought would exist, and many gamers are lapping up this wave of crazy, especially the ones that can play in your browser with the press of a button.

One new fan game that caught our attention today is one from user TheDuxan, who has taken the racing mechanics of Crash Team Racing on PlayStation 1 and has ported them into the World of Warcraft, allowing you to drift through the realm of Azeroth in a way my brain cannot comprehend. It's not even a small game either.

Named the World of Kartcraft, this fan-game has over 207 courses to explore, across 35 popular zones in World of Warcraft, featuring a Race Finder feature that allows you to queue from anywhere in the world. Featuring Elwynn's roads and even the streets of Stratholme and more, all taken from the very areas that you once walked and may still walk. You can even pick what race you want your character to be, such as Orc, Night Elf and Undead.

The CTR decompilation offers the weapons, Wumpa Fruit and Aku Aku from the PS1 game, allowing you to beat your oponnents in without crash-way you feel like when you jump in, alongside the boost meter that can be chained together up to three times per slide. And you'll want to do this because it levels your karting skill, offering character EXP that can unlock faster engine classes, abilities, and more.

This game can be played in your browser at worldofkartcraft.com, but you'll need to be using a PC on Windows 10 or 11, or it can work with Linux and the Steam Deck; however, you will need your own Wow 1.12.1 client and a copy of Crash Team Racing physically to play it on both. This is the legal way to do these things, and is the future of this crazy decompiling, so get buying physical media again while you can!
