At Fate's End was one of my most-anticipated 2026 titles

As disappointing as it can be to learn a game you're excited for has been saddled with a delay, it's not always bad news.
French-Canadian developer, Thunder Lotus, has announced its plans to push back the release of its upcoming action-adventure At Fate's End into 2027. The reason for this is the game simply needs "more love and care".
Here's the statement that was shared on Steam:
"Let’s get the potentially disappointing news out of the way first: we’re pushing back At Fate’s End release to 2027...We’ve made so much progress on the game since its 2025 reveal but it needs a little more love and care to ensure its release is as smooth as possible. We’ll let y’all know a more precise date once we have all our ducks in a row. The team is very impatient to get At Fate’s End in your hands and we promise it’ll be worth the wait! Thanks for your understanding!"
The good news is, the game is still coming to Xbox Game Pass according to the description posted in the embedded YouTube video above. Before this, the release date for At Fate's End was still quite vague, simply 2026. So, it's not the worst news, nor the most unexpected, that the game fell into an equally vague 2027 window. Oh, Steam players can try the game for the very first time thanks to an all new demo!
Thunder Lotus are the developers behind 33 Immortals and 2020's excellent Spiritfarer. But, if you've not heard of their work before and want to know more about the upcoming At Fate's End, we'll leave you with a neat description and some tasty screenshots below.
"At Fate’s End is an action-adventure game where you fight the ones you love and your skill tree is your family tree. Explore a lush fantasy world, defeat the foul creatures of the realm, and face your estranged siblings in intense, emotional duels to decide your family’s fate."
