Starting today, Itch players can access a newly expanded and polished demo of Mr Magpie’s Harmless Card Game.

Consider this a privileged opportunity to return to Mr Magpie’s office and experience everything Middle Management has been improving while you were away.

Your workplace has changed

Since the last widely available demo, we’ve made several company-approved improvements to increase productivity, profitability, and employee compliance:

• A new office environment: The board, lighting, perk icons, and surrounding workplace have all received a makeover.
• More freedom: Make it to Tuesday and you can, stand up from the table and explore Mr Magpie’s office. You’ll be restricted to the room for now. Please refrain from interpreting this newfound mobility as freedom.
• Greater corporate transparency: You can now view the cards remaining in your deck during a round, including which specific cards remain unflipped on the board. Use this information responsibly. Preferably to make more money.
• The new SHARES system: Complete both difficulties available in the demo to unlock the ability to purchase Shares in the company. They’re expensive. They’re excellent for bragging rights. And if you die, you lose them all. Shareholder value has never been more personal.
• One-use potions: Purchase potions from the shop to give yourself an additional advantage. Middle Management accepts no responsibility for poor consumption decisions.
• Improved employee induction: Tooltips have been overhauled with improved visuals and more detailed information about card abilities and effects.
• More ways to maximize profits: Bug fixes, optimization improvements, and upgraded animations mean the office now runs more smoothly even when employees begin generating irresponsible amounts of money.
• Nine additional localizations: The demo is now localized into French, Italian, Spanish, German, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese, in addition to English. Sunbright Pharmaceuticals is pleased to expand its recruitment operations internationally.
