Join the First Cup in Champion Tennis
Tennis meets roguelite strategy in Champion Tennis, a new single-player sports game that lets players turn ordinary rallies into flashy skill battles. Developed by Mnshine game studio, the game is now available to try for free on mobile, with a Steam demo planned ahead of Steam Next Fest in February 2027.
The mobile trial includes the tutorial and the first cup, giving players a taste of its card-driven tennis gameplay before they commit to the full game. A one-time purchase of $2.99 on Google Play unlocks the complete experience, with no ads, gacha mechanics, or subscriptions. Players in China can also try the game for free through TapTap.
Champion Tennis shakes up traditional tennis matches by giving players three skill cards to work with during each rally. Players spend energy to unleash special shots inspired by meteors, lightning, ice, and tornadoes, adding a tactical layer to every match. Between games, they can draft permanent skills and cup talents to build stronger setups for the challenges ahead.
There is plenty to work through, too. The game features eight cups, 33 stages, and 24 AI opponents inspired by the zodiac signs. Players can unlock 15 permanent skills, earn eight trophies, and complete 20 achievements. It supports 36 languages and offline play, with a first playthrough taking around three hours.
PC players won’t have to wait forever, as the Steam page is already live. A demo is planned before Steam Next Fest in February 2027, followed by the full release. The developers have also disclosed their use of AI for parts of the development process and some character artwork.
With its unusual mix of tennis, skill cards, and roguelite progression, Champion Tennis looks like a fresh alternative to conventional sports games. The free mobile trial is already available for anyone curious to see if this court-side experiment delivers.
