Clash of Clans is getting a new round of balance changes in October 2026, with adjustments aimed at reducing the strength of some popular attack options while improving troops and Equipment that have fallen behind. The update brings nerfs to Dragon Duke’s Fire Heart and Ruin Witch’s Ruin Knights equipment, alongside buffs for Hog Rider, Miner, P.E.K.K.A, Meteor Golem, and their Super variants. Frozen Arrow and Portal Pendant are also receiving changes.

Dragon Duke – Fire Heart

As shared by Supercell, Dragon Duke’s Fire Heart is one of the most widely used Equipment options, appearing in almost 40% of all attacks and more than half of attacks featuring Dragon Duke. Attacks using the combination also have a three-star rate of around 66%, compared to 56% for Dragon Duke without Fire Heart and an overall average of 53%.

To bring this combination closer to other options, Supercell is reducing Fire Heart’s bonus HP by around 8% at every level. The Equipment will also lose its bonus damage entirely, while its healing effect will be slightly reduced at higher levels. At max level, the healing drops from 150 to 140 HP per second.

Archer Queen – Frozen Arrow

Frozen Arrow is used in around 7% of attacks and has a three-star rate of approximately 31%. Supercell is giving the Equipment a boost to make it more useful for your Archer Queen.

Its slow effect will increase by five percentage points at every level. Damage will also increase at levels 21–27, with the max-level damage going from 168 to 175.

Minion Prince – Portal Pendant

Portal Pendant is receiving a straightforward improvement for the Minion Prince. The Equipment will now provide bonus HP, reaching 1,200 bonus HP at max level.

Ruin Witch and Ruin Knights

As per stats, Ruin Witch has the highest three-star rate among troops with meaningful usage, at around 76%. Ruin Knights have also been difficult to counter with Spring Traps because their housing space was too high for the traps to launch them away.

The upcoming changes reduce Ruin Knights’ housing space from 20 to 18, allowing Spring Traps to launch them. Their movement speed, HP, and damage will also be reduced.

Other troop updates

Hog Rider and Super Hog Rider have struggled to find a place in popular attack strategies, with both seeing limited use. Supercell is increasing the HP of both troops to make them more durable during attacks.

Miner and Super Miner are also receiving HP increases at max levels. Both have appeared in fewer than 3% of attacks, so it leaves plenty of room for improvement.

Meteor Golem has received some attention from players, but its performance remains below average. To help it compete, Supercell is increasing Meteor Golem’s HP, which will also increase the HP of the Meteormites it splits into.

P.E.K.K.A is getting a damage buff to help it compete with other ground troops. The unit has seen limited use, with its pick rate below 3% and three-star rates for the underused troops sitting between 20% and 35%.
