A brand-new game based on the popular anime Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, also known as DanMachi, is in development for Android, iOS, and PC. Titled the same name, with Frontier Zero added as a suffix, the game is scheduled for a worldwide release in 2027.

Japanese developer enish announced the project, confirming that it will feature an original story created in cooperation with the series’ original author, Fujino Omori. The game will explore a new chapter in the DanMachi universe, with a story that has not appeared in the original novels or anime.

While details about the gameplay remain under wraps, Frontier Zero is being developed for both smartphones and PC, with a release planned for Japan and international markets.

The developers have yet to reveal the game’s genre, gameplay systems, or playable characters. More information is expected to be shared through the game’s official channels as development continues towards its 2027 launch.

The upcoming game gives DanMachi fans another way to explore the franchise beyond its existing anime, manga, and games. With Fujino Omori involved in creating the new story, Frontier Zero will offer an original narrative rather than simply retelling events from the anime.

Based on Omori’s light novel series, DanMachi follows Bell Cranel, a young adventurer who explores dangerous dungeons beneath the city of Orario. The franchise has expanded into multiple anime seasons, spin-offs, a theatrical film, and previous mobile and console games.
