海盗风生存沙盒《Windrose》通过视频与船只自定义详解预热冬季 Ashlands 更新

It’s been some time since we heard major news out of Windrose, the survival sandbox that wears a pirate costume (and features pirating things like ships and sailing and finding treasure, naturally). Readers may recall that developer Kraken Express first unveiled its Ashlands update this summer, which promised additions like new islands with new enemies and resources, new factions, better ship gameplay, and the arrival of wind mechanics, all projected to arrive sometime in early autumn.

Since then, the studio has debuted a new cinematic video for the Ashlands update, which confirms that the timeline for its release has been pushed back from autumn to sometime in the winter. It otherwise grants a general stylized look at what Ashlands is offering, including a hint of something very angry and screechy lying below ground in one of the new islands.

Kraken Express has further begun to share more granular dev blogs about Ashlands’ additions, starting first with a look at more ship customization. The post confirms that players will soon get to select a type of ship and customize it much more fully, without locking it behind faction-specific versions. That customization will be both exterior and interior, with the post providing a deeper look at ship hold customizations that can skew to both mechanical and cosmetic.
