1982 年的 Vectrex 以线框显示《超级马里奥64》
Yes, that's the 1982 Vectrex displaying Super Mario 64 in wireframe
A work-in-progress port of Super Mario 64 is running on the Vectrex - a vector-display console from 1982
The original work was done by Dani Ferrer and the footage doing the rounds comes from a video posted by Arcade Jason, who added sound to it. The game is rendered in wireframe but is an impressive feat if not entirely as impressive as it may first look.
While the exact details of how the "port" was put together haven't been confirmed, its clear that the Vectrex is essentially acting as the screen only. Although no public details are yet available, it's strongly believed that the game is running on the Ultimate Vectrex Multicart 2 (UVMC2), a cartridge built around using a Raspberry Pi RP2350 microcontroller - so it's effectively running on a device independent of the Vectrex and only using the cabinet for graphics output. The cart also provides its own audio out so the audio also bypasses the console which used the General Instrument AY-3-8912 with just 3 independent tone and noise channels.
It's not the only recent homebrew leaning on the UVMC2 either with a recent Doom making the rounds as well as a NES emulator.
Don't count on a finished version. Arcade Jason has described the port as an early prototype and says he wants to move on to a different project, so it may never be completed. He has invited anyone who wants to finish it to get in touch with him.
Impressive! Hurts my eyes in the best possible way.
Finally, Mario 64 the way it should be played.
That is cool as hell. I loved the effect when jumping into the painting.
