Warframe is asking players to help prepare for its next major story destination. Epoch Operation: Taubound is a limited-time, cross-platform community event running through Tuesday, Nov. 17, with players gathering resources to help fuel the journey to the Tau System, which Digital Extremes says is coming later this year.

Anyone who has completed the Vor’s Prize tutorial Quest can contribute. Players can collect Moonflesh on Eris or through timed Alert missions, then deposit it with the Sentient Mothership Praghasa. The community’s progress appears in the in-game Events tracker, with rewards including the Contegorus Armor Set, Vacis Amp weapon skin, Khadati Sumdali ship attachment, and Dhampyre Syandana.

Praghasa will also send transmissions after 7 p.m. ET each day, sharing her story as the global objective advances. The event gives newer players a way to join the buildup to Tau, while longtime Tenno can see their combined effort move the game’s ongoing narrative forward.

Epoch Operation: Taubound also brings a new story chapter, Prologue to Tau. Players who have completed The Old Peace and The Hex Quests can revisit The Lotus’ memories, playing as her for the first time in Warframe. The quest then sends players to awaken the Vessel and gather fuel on Eris, where its power can be turned against the planet’s giant Infested.

Unlike the community event, Prologue to Tau is a permanent addition to the Quest Codex. Players who miss the operation or have not met the unlock requirements before Nov. 17 can still play it later.

For squads looking for a tougher group challenge, The Icebind is a new six-player mission type at Yuvan Peak. Each squad member must bring a different Warframe type, and the team spends one Cryobell key per player to enter. Before the mission, players vote on randomized modifiers that can change enemy factions, layouts, objectives, and debuffs. The squad then coordinates through four phases for a chance to choose from dozens of rewards in Melica’s Glacial Laboratory.

Epoch Operation: Taubound gives Warframe’s community a shared goal, while The Icebind asks six players to solve a more immediate problem together. Both point toward a journey to Tau that players will help shape before they arrive.
