Gaming Factory has announced JDM: Ph4ntom Driver, a new supernatural arcade racing game coming to PC via Steam. Revealed on October 14, 2026, the standalone spin-off of JDM: Japanese Drift Master combines high-speed drifting, vehicular combat, and Japanese folklore in a demon-infested open world. Players will use modified JDM cars and supernatural abilities to battle dangerous creatures and fight back against a powerful Demon King.

Unlike the original game, which focuses on Japanese street racing, JDM: Ph4ntom Driver introduces a fantasy setting where cars become weapons. The game takes place in an alternative version of the fictional Japanese prefecture of Guntama, now overrun by demonic forces and a spreading supernatural Corruption.
JDM: Ph4ntom Driver Combines Drifting With Supernatural Combat
Racing Scene
Players will explore a corrupted world filled with moss-covered roads, crumbling buildings, and hostile creatures inspired by Japanese folklore. Their main enemies include Oni and other supernatural beings known as youkai.
Instead of relying on traditional weapons, players must use reinforced vehicles to ram, crush, and defeat enemies. The combat system also incorporates Hakai, a supernatural power of destruction that enhances the vehicles’ offensive capabilities.
The game features a Nitro-Drift system that combines drifting and boosting, allowing players to maintain speed while navigating corners and attacking opponents. Vehicles are designed to be agile and responsive, with arcade-style handling that supports both racing and combat. Players can also chain combat skills, build their Hakai score through nitro use, and attack enemies while drifting or striking them with the rear of their vehicles.
Open-World Exploration, Car Upgrades, and Story Campaign
Battle Scene
JDM: Ph4ntom Driver features a completely overhauled open-world map where players can discover new cars and vehicle parts. Customization and upgrades will improve driving performance and combat capabilities, allowing players to venture deeper into dangerous territory.
Dark magic and spiritual forging have transformed classic JDM vehicles into powerful machines capable of supernatural destruction. As players progress, they will eventually confront Shouten Douji, the Demon King, who is responsible for the world’s Corruption.
The game also includes a single-player campaign presented through hand-drawn manga panels and a fully developed dialogue system. Although the story is standalone and requires no knowledge of JDM: Japanese Drift Master, returning players can expect familiar characters appearing in different roles, alongside character cameos and Easter eggs.
