《Grand Theft Auto IV》获 DLSS Mod 效果惊艳
Grand Theft Auto IV Gets DLSS Mod and it's Glorious
《Grand Theft Auto IV》PC版获民间DLSS Mod,弥补原版游戏长期缺失的抗锯齿短板。该Mod需配合FusionFix等PC修复模组使用,且据称新增HDR支持。
After almost 2 decades (yes we are old) GTA IV gets proper AA on PC. With that final piece that was missing (X360 had 2x MSAA i think) is filled. And in combination with other PC Mods like FusionFix, Various Fixes and Radio Restoration it is ultimate way to experience GTA IV.

Not needing to engage with the (albeit incredible) RTX mod to get dlss is amazing. Congrats to modders.
My main issue with the game on PC is the mouse.
When above 30 fps your mouse would just stutter and act like it has a deadzone on it wheb ADSing.
Is there a fix for that?
Modders kicking ass as per usual, they've done a number on making GTAIV so much better. I really need to do another replay of it.

FusionFix mod fixes pretty much everything wrong with the PC version. Played through the entire game on m+kb last month at 120+ fps with 0 issues.
Does thus work with Fusion Fix?
Look at that draw distance. Such an easy way to make old games look modern.

Yeap.
Can I combine the RTX one and this to compensate? And with fusion fix is 60fps (non-CPU-thread-constrained) doable?

the rtx mod already has DLSS, since the beginning of it.

So this is just the DLSS half of the mod? Or is it fundamentally different in how it gets DLSS working?
Rockstar… triple pack… follow capcoms lead.

This is just DLSS mod for Vanilla game (that works with Fusion Fix and other mods).
The bridge comparison shot at 3:06 is crazy

not sure, but id imagine the latter. RTX mod uses the remix framework to add it, and this doesnt seem to be the case here.

Does it require a mod for that draw distance?

Those are my screenshots and i only have Fusion Fix and Various Fixes mods installed.

GTA4 on pc always let you set the draw distance pretty far if you could handle it (same with vehicle density... at max setting you kinda can't drive lol)
Does it require a mod for that draw distance?
FusionFix fixes a lot of issues with longer draw distances
Does thus work with Fusion Fix?
Yes, the install instructions assume you already use it and references it
Nice, thanks. Will try it later and report back how it goes on linux

This is allowed per their modding guide XD
Even after having played the RTX mod, seeing the game with vanilla graphics with pristine image quality is wild. Praise be DLSS.

Ah, a crafty loophole I see!
But yeah, this stuff is soo cool. I love seeing DLSS/DLAA getting ported into older games with bad/no AA and getting cleaned right up.
i'm literally replaying gta 4 on pc right now because i saw videos about the fusion fix and various fixes mods and felt it was a good opportunity to jump in. i've had some performance issues on my intel arc b580 and ryzen 5 3600 pc - with mostly high settings at 1440p it hovers in the 90-120fps range but can drop into the 40s in some parts of the open world, and even in that higher range it's prone to feel a bit stuttery. but overall i've been having a good time, and the small additions like the improved distant lights, god rays and distance fog fits the game's art direction really well.
i can't watch the video right now but is there any mention of whether something like optiscaler works with this mod to turn the DLSS into xeSS/FSR?
Been debating on trying to sneak in a IV + EFLC replay right before VI hits. If this is relatively straightforward to inject in, like a lot of the other IV mods, then this might be the push I need to do it.
The extremely poor anti-aliasing/shimmering image has been one of the last core IQ issues facing the PC version of the game, even with mods/enhancements after all this time. So pretty awesome if this works as well and easily as it seemingly should.
EDIT: Apparently this mod also adds HDR support to IV too. Damn. I am going to check this out for sure. The RTX stuff was/is really cool looking, but for me takes the game too far away from its vanilla, default art direction. These newest mods here are more what I'm looking for in trying to improve the game, so that's cool.

It's basically copy/paste install after you install FusionFix.

The mod also adds FSR 4 and FSR 3.1 by default as well.
Hot damn, this is amazing. Thanks for the heads up OP.
I've already been enjoying GTA IV on PC with Gillian's Modpack (mainly FusionFix). Will definitely try adding this for the rest of my playthrough.

Whew, all the footage / screens in here look great.
Man something about Liberty City in IV just hits different. I love every 3D GTA game, but Liberty City is probably my favourite locale in the series.

Looking good! Speaking of drag and drop fixes - what's the best place to get/install FusionFix these days? I gotta install GTA IV now!
And the most important thing, it retains the original art direction. That trademark gta 4 orange
I prefer the more raw look of SMAA with some heavy DoF effect since it add to the atmosphere of the game.

Well not fully original, I turned on FusionFix Tone Mapping.
How's the path tracing mod doing these days? Might be due for a replay before 6 if thats made good progress too.
Fusion Fix and this are such a treasure. I remember when it was still preferable to play GTA4 on 360 versus the PC being so busted. Glad things have been turned around so much.

I know, but ive seen some terrible graphics mods that completely takes out the colors of gta 4 to make the game more colorful, even in this mod i can see its still gta 4 but with modern bells and whistles

As far as i followed it works and it's stable but proper materials/textures mods are still being worked on.

As always:
By far the best modpack there is, plug and play, and fully compatible with this.
Super, thanks for that :) Sounds like I want that, the radio mod and this DLSS one.
FSR4 and HDR working on Linux, holy shit the jaggies are gone after 18 years ![]()

Brings back memories of supersampling this game with Boris' ENB mod or whatever in like 2011.
Oh its so fucking cool - like it just feels so slick, you can edit your HDR nit values straight through the cfg too, its so beautiful!
I just tested this. It looks great! Jaggies are almost not noticeable. I chose DLAA at 1440p resolution. Negative things I noticed, there are more noticeable pop ins. Stutters are more frequent as well.
Man I really want a GTA IV remaster for consoles.
What are some other must have mods that work with Fusionfix?
giving this a shot now. using FSR3.1 on quality mode upscaling to 1440p (although i could also try and see if optiscaler lets me swap that for XeSS since i'm on an Intel gpu) and results so far seem decent. UI and text when you launch the game looks noticeably chunkier than running natively but when the game properly launches things look suitably 1440p, albeit a tad softer than the native res with SMAA. HDR with the default settings seems interesting but a little bit odd in places - might try tweaking the paper white setting to see if it helps but might end up turning this off.
What are some other must have mods that work with Fusionfix?
there's a mod collection called various fixes that covers a few extra issues that fusionfix misses, i think there's some good youtube videos that go over them. the only other mod i have on top of that is a radio restoration mod that adds back a bunch of the songs that were cut due to licensing over the years.
Just tried it in the BOGT and it's transformative. Looks fantastic now.
i was going to ask about FSR but it looks like it's supported, holy shit let's goooooooo
