I'm Martin. I released a game earlier in the year. It was good! I can say that objectively because a) it has a metacritic of 84, b) it has an Overwhelmingly Positive steam review score of 97%, and b) we just won an Australian Game Developer Award for Excellence in Narrative.

Why am I blowing my own trumpet so pointedly? No one else is!

One of the few posts on here that mention us is in this thread about obscure, critically acclaimed games (thanks Nusco for posting!). So, to redress the balance, and at the risk of gross self-promotion (as a Brit, fighting the urge to be all modest is very hard), I'll do my best to sell you on the game.

What is the game?
Schrodinger's Cat Burglar!

What is it about?
It's a puzzle adventure game where you are a (literal) cat burglar that can exist in quantum superposition - as in, the same cat in two different places simultaneously.
We take the Uncertainty Principle very seriously - if either version of the cat is observed, that becomes the real cat. The other version enters a theoretical state, which allows it to pass through objects, go undetected by security systems, disrupt computers, all sorts.

You mentioned security systems - is this a stealth game?
Not really - there are laser tripwires and alarms and security cameras, but it's puzzles and exploration all the way - no combat, no threat, no game overs.

How long is the game?
Long! On Average, time to credits is between 8 and 12 hours. One review on Steam had total playtime at 76 hours!

12 hours?! For a puzzle game?
The game is a puzzle adventure - in between the meaty puzzles there's plenty of exploring, finding secrets, reading documents and chatting with characters. Your voice-in-the-ear support characters is a hedgehog called Lazy Susan.

Does this game have a story?

The game starts as Mittens the cat embarks upon a routine infiltration mission of a data processing (and plumbing) facility - get in, hack a computer, get out - but the appearance of a robot security hound, and the abduction of Mittens raises the stakes. Now, confined in a mysterious underground research facility, Mittens must escape.
As she explores, a spectral feline shape seems to always be one step ahead, until Mittens finds herself on the receiving end of a ton of quantum energy, transforming her into a Dual Event. She can exist in two places at once!
Now, Mittens must use her powers to explore, discover why this innocuous plumbing company is connected to a labyrinthine subterranean research facility, investigate the mysterious shadow-cat and ultimately save the entire universe from annihilation!

Are you sure this is a good game?

OK, fine, you have my curiosity. Can you capture my attention?
You can change the cat's fur colour and length, type your own name in, dress the cat up in hats and other costume items. There's a meow button and if you hold it, you purr. In one level, meowing becomes a mechanic. If you run the cat in a tight circle you can chase your tail. And there's an emote wheel that lets you perform various animations, including lick your own bum.
