What a Cox up

Some of you may know Charlie Cox as the man behind Gustave in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 — others might recognise him from the Daredevil TV series.
But big news here is that he's been providing voicework for some unannounced SEGA title. Cox got his start in video game-related stuff with the aforementioned Clair Obscur, so it's nice to hear that he's sticking with gaming and finding more roles to fill.
This is according to the man himself. He told IGN at New York Comic-Con: "I did another [game]! It doesn’t have a name yet. I did a Sega one. I’ve done one since [Clair Obscur]. It hasn’t come out yet. It was fun to do. It’s hard. It’s a whole different job, man."
So, a SEGA game that doesn't have a name yet? Well, your guess is as good as ours at this point.
We know the Japanese publisher's got a big 2027 lined up, with Stranger Than Heaven and Persona 4 Revival dated, while Persona 6 is heavily rumoured to release later next year. Then there's Crazy Taxi: World Tour and what will most likely be a brand a new Sonic title to consider.
You'd think that a high profile talent like Cox would mean that this mystery project is something pretty big, then — and it sounds like he's already spent a lot of time in the booth.
"I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say, but I showed up for it, and I met them for the first time, they asked me to do this game, and so I agreed to it. Then I had to do 40 hours or whatever it was," Cox explains.
Hilariously, he goes on to note that SEGA thought he was American: "All of them went, ‘...oh, he’s English’. They’d hoped, they’d wanted [the character] to be American. But now I’ve got to do 40 hours of lines I’ve not prepared in an accent."
I doubt we'll hear anything official about this game for at least a little while yet, especially given SEGA's busy schedule, but it's still really interesting to hear that there's something fairly significant in the works.
Any guesses as to what this mystery project might be? Don't let SEGA know in the comments section below.

He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he's played 'em all. A little too much, some might say.
