Emufii just changed the way we play multiplayer games on Android handhelds. A private network for game traffic to pass through on Android handhelds, allowing users to play games with friends hundreds of miles away as though they were in the same room. And it does it all without any ports or IP address sharing
No ports to open, no IP address to share. It's the next evolution of local multiplayer gaming, where 'local' means that you just have to be on the same planet.

Emufii isn't an emulator or a frontend; games run on the emulators you already use, and it doesn't replace the launcher you use on your Android handheld already. It doesn't download games, have BIOS files, or stream games. It does, however, fill in connection details on emulators and shows your existing games. It also allows you to add friends to join rooms with a single code.

Your friend lives 500 miles away, so what? Emufii uses cover art from the apps you already use in an easy-to-navigate interface, using servers in your own territories. DS local wireless play can now happen online over the internet for 752 DS games. In HeartGold and SoulSilver, for instance, you'll be able to send Pokémon over the internet to other people's games. You can trade in every Pokémon Gen from the DS to the Switch, all from your Android Handheld.

Gamers also have access to community revival servers for PSP games too, meaning they can get online to play games like Tekken Dark Resurrection with players from all over the world.

I love it when an emulator already has plans on how to improve it, and Emulfi gave me some great things to look forward to, such as PS2 revival servers and PC support, as well as integration with RetroArch. It's currently in Beta for Android users utilising Android 13 - 15, and you can download it from GitHub to start testing it out right now!
