STOCKHOLM - OCTOBER 7, 2026 - Paradox Interactive and Tantalus Media today announced Cities: Skylines – Expanded Edition, a version of the award-winning city-building game from developer Colossal Order optimized for Nintendo Switch 2. Launching October 28 for a suggested retail price of $49/£41.49/€49, the Expanded Edition brings improved visuals, better performance, expanded building tools, and new ways to play.

Optimized and expanded for Nintendo Switch 2, Cities: Skylines – Expanded Edition invites players to build, manage, and expand the city of their dreams. Start with a few roads and grow your city into a bustling metropolitan hub with neighborhoods, public services, civic policies, and the ever-changing needs of thousands of citizens. Whether you create a quiet coastal town, a busy industrial center, or a sprawling modern metropolis, your city is yours to design.

Features of Cities: Skylines – Expanded Edition includes: 

• 25 Buildable Tiles: Expand your city across a much larger area, increased from the original 9-tile limit.

• Map Editor: Create and customize your own landscapes and maps before you start building.

• UX Improvements: Use precision placement, a distance indicator, and updated snapping options for more refined construction.

• Environmental Controls Panel: Adjust atmospheric elements in real time, including time of day, rain, fog, and environmental coloring.

• Graphics Options: Choose between a Performance Option targeting 60 FPS with upscaling and adjusted quality settings, or a Quality Option targeting 30 FPS and prioritizing visual fidelity.

Players who already own Cities: Skylines on Nintendo Switch are eligible for a 70% loyalty discount on the Expanded Edition, valid from October 28, 2026 to April 28, 2027.
