LOUD are now the first team to win VALORANT Champions twice, after beating Team Vitality 3-1 in the Shanghai grand final on October 18, Inven Global reported. The Americas side did not lose a single match in the playoffs.

The final was played at Mercedes-Benz Arena. Egamersworld reported that the win earned LOUD $1,000,000 and Vitality $400,000 from a $2,250,000 prize pool shared by 16 teams.

How the Four Maps Played Out

LOUD picked Summit and were behind 9-3 at the half. They won five rounds in a row to level at 10-10, then took the last three for a 13-11 win, according to Egamersworld.

Vitality levelled the series on their own Lotus pick, winning 13-8. LOUD then took Sunset 13-5 after trailing 5-7 early, with 11 straight rounds in their favour.

Haven finished 13-10. LOUD led 12-7 before Vitality won three in a row, but LOUD took the next round to close out the title.

Enzo Zimiani, who plays as tkzin, led the final with 77 kills, an average combat score of 251 and 18 first kills. He had 26 kills on Sunset alone. Roberto Lobos, who plays as erde, posted 21 kills on Haven.

A New Lineup, the Same Scoreline

LOUD's first title came in 2022 in Istanbul, where they beat OpTic Gaming 3-1 in the final. This roster is entirely different, and Inven Global said every player won Champions in their first VCT appearance.

Egamersworld lists the title-winning five as Lucca Travaioli (lukxo), Juan Castro (Darker), Roberto Lobos (erde), Enzo Zimiani (tkzin) and David Cruz (DaviH).

Lobos was named tournament MVP. Inven Global said he kept a promise to dedicate the trophy to his mother, who died of cancer two days before LOUD's opening match against EDward Gaming.

Americas Record, Pacific Exits

LOUD lost only once all tournament, to Vitality in the Group B winner's match. They beat Vitality in the next two meetings, according to Inven Global. The pairing repeats the Americas versus EMEA final from 2025.

All four Americas teams in the round of 16 reached the top-eight playoffs, a first for a single region at Champions. LOUD's win is the region's fourth Champions title.

Pacific had three teams in the playoffs after Global Esports went out in the group stage. Nongshim RedForce lost 1-2 to 100 Thieves, and Paper Rex lost 1-2 to T1. T1 then lost 1-2 to G2 Esports.

Paper Rex's runner-up finish in 2023 remains the region's best Champions result.

New Agent Teased in Shanghai

Riot Games showed a trailer for a new agent called Hush before the final began. Inven Global said Hush is from China and uses telekinesis to move quickly, push enemies out of position and lift them into the air. The agent is due on October 28 (KST).
