《Saros》2.0 Zenith更新加入New Game+、Overlord Rush与更多奖杯

HouseMarque has arrived with a massive new 2.0 update for Saros, adding a whole bunch of new content, including New Game+, a training simulation, trophies, Carcosan Modifiers, and more.

Saros is a PlayStation exclusive released earlier this year from Returnal developer Housemarque. Now, as the year comes to a close, they have given players a free update that focuses on two things to make the game more replayable and accessible. Check out all the new additions below:

What’s New in Saros 2.0 Zenith Update?

The Saros 2.0 Zenith update is live and adds plenty of new content for players to explore. The first addition is Overlord Rush, an intense training simulation where players work to quickly defeat the Overlords from the main game, and you can compete with friends and players around the world on a new leaderboard.

The new update also adds a New Game+ to the title, which players can try out after completing the main game. Each new Layer will also add more Trial Modifiers, and players can choose which Trials to play.

Players also get a Crown and Armor that will glow golden after reaching Eclipse Layer 2. The glow keeps on increasing as the Carcosan Modifier balance increases. Players can also perceive truths previously hidden when moving to later Eclipse Layers, thanks to a new feature called Visions of King. Players will see murals and words from an old Yellow King etched in stone across Carcosa.

The Saros 2.0 Zenith update also adds 20 new Carcosan Modifiers, split as 10 Protections and 10 Trials, with half available at the start of the game and the other half available in New Game+. Players also gain “Mastery” when defeating enemies with Carcosan Modifiers equipped, and it can eventually reach “Mastered” status.

The update also adds six new trophies, unlocked by playing Overlord Rush, Eclipse Layers, and some of the new Carcosan Modifiers. Other than that, there are some new settings such as motion sensor aiming with the DualSense, Slow Game speed, new photo mode options, and balance updates that you can learn about in the Saros 2.0 patch notes below:

Saros 2.0 Zenith Update Patch Notes

New Settings

• Motion Sensor Aiming: Use the motion sensor functionality of the DualSense® wireless controller to aim and control the camera!
• High Contrast Display: The player character and hostiles can now be highlighted with a vivid solid color fill and/or a colored outline, greatly improving visibility.
• Slow Game Speed: The overall speed of the game – including player, hostiles, projectiles, etc., can now be adjusted. This is intended to help players who want to face the challenging bullet ballet of SAROS’s combat, but have trouble keeping up with the fast pace and required reaction time.
• Weapon Auto-fire: The Main Weapon and/or the Power weapon can be set to fire automatically when aiming at a hostile. This can help players who physically have difficulty holding down a trigger for extended periods of time, or simply free up a finger to focus on avoiding attacks.

New Photomode options

• Arjun’s facial expression can now be adjusted in Photo Mode
• Power Weapon visuals on Arjun’s body can now be toggled on/off in Photo Mode

Balance updates

• New Artifact Corruption Effects have been added
• Locked yellow containers now have a chance to drop higher tier Artifacts
• The max tier of Artifacts has been increased, and the drop conditions for different tiers have been adjusted
• The amount of Growth Attributes granted by Artifacts has been adjusted
• The cost of the following Carcosan Modifiers have been adjusted:
  • Protection: Second Chance Overlord
  • Protection: Overlord Restoration
  • Trial: Alpha Hostile Enhancement 
• The damage values in the following Modifiers has been adjusted:
  • Protection: Damage Enhancement 
  • Protection: Corruption Reduction
  • Trial: Damage Degradation
