Developer Digital Lighthouse Games Unveils Debut Title in World Premiere in Galaxies Gaming Showcase

Potenza, Italy – 15th October 2026 – Digital Lighthouse Games, the game development division within entertainment and media house Digital Lighthouse Studios, today announced their debut title Encryption, a psychological horror that takes your breath away with its visual fidelity and makes you hold it with thrilling suspense.

Even amidst wildfires burning through southern Italy, Leonardo cannot lose hope of finding his missing daughter, Arianna. His search leads Leonardo to the town of Matera, one of the oldest inhabited places on Earth. Once crowded with people, the streets are deserted now the fire is closing in, but venturing deep below the city, Leonardo is not alone.

Encryption is a cinematic first-person horror adventure that blends exploration, puzzles and stealth. Based on real locations, Digital Lighthouse Games utilises its teams’ expertise in 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry technology to immerse players in the architecture and landscape of Matera and southern Italy.

• A father’s search – A narrative-driven adventure with cinematic sequences and fully voiced dialogue, where more than one story is waiting to be pieced together.
• Hunted and haunted – Shadow entities and more stalk the darkness, drawn by every sound players make, and their surroundings are no safer. There are many ways to die here and players will experience most of them.
• Every detail matters – Pay attention to what the environment is hiding and work through puzzles rooted in ancient mysteries or hidden in plain sight. Even enemies must be overcome with brains, not brawn.
• Built from the real world – A whole region transformed into a thrilling and immersive experience with techniques from terrestrial and aerial 3D laser scanning, photogrammetry shot with cinematic lighting, environments rebuilt in Unreal Engine, and animation driven by motion capture.

Encryption is coming to PC in 2027 and can be wishlisted on Steam now.
