New Gameplay Trailer For HyperYuki: Snowboard Syndicate Is All Chill With Its Extreme Snowboarding Antics
开发商 Wabisabi Games 与发行商 Acclaim Inc. 在 The MIX: Fall Online Showcase 发布《HyperYuki: Snowboard Syndicate》新预告片,并透露 Demo 即将登陆 Steam。

A new trailer for Hyperyuki: Snowboard Syndicate has dropped at The MIX: Fall Online Showcase, as developer Wabisabi Games and newly-resurrected publisher Acclaim Inc. teases a demo is coming soon to Steam.
The new 1-minute-ish trailer is all quick cuts of glimpses of what to expect from the extreme snowboarding game that proudly wears its inspirations of SSX and Jet Set Radio up on their sleeves. Big slopes. Big air. Big and long rails to grind. Big billboards to smash through.
There’s more glimpses of the wild tricks you can do when you dare undo the straps on the snowboard. Have the gal with a hairdo that makes Sailor Moon proud b-boying on the board mid-air.
Or better yet, have the human-sized kaiju snowboarder pull a Christ Air as if it was bestowed upon them the revelation of Pearl Jam’s Even Flow.
That previous sentence was all true, outside of the music, no licensed tracks by big bands in Hyperyuki, just chill tunes. While previous trailers hone in on some of that drum n bass/jungle music, this trailer’s music is a lot more chiller than even that.
As an ode to SSX, you can hear an announcer quipping over the loud speaker commentating on the snowboarding action in Hyperyuki. And as an ode to Jet Set Radio, the characters, even the human-sized kaiju, gets down to boogie in front of some loud sets of stereo.
There’s also a sentient taco that can shred, as ode to the development team being based in Mexico.
Hyperyuki: Snowboard Syndicate will include Race, Challenge and Chill modes, 8-player online and 4-player local split-screen multiplayer modes. Yes, one can also say this is an ode to the games of yore, especially with split-screen multiplayer which went of to the wayside by the 7th-generation of consoles (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii).
“The extreme sports games in the golden age of the late 90’s & early aughts had something special,” said Marc Anthony Rodriguez, Director of Publishing & Strategic Partnerships, Acclaim, Inc. “The speed, the banger music, the outrageous tricks, all pure fun. Hyperyuki captures that spirit immediately.
“Wabisabi is building something with its own identity, and every new reveal gets more ridiculous in the best possible way. Acclaim is proud to be part of this journey & can’t wait for players to experience it with a new demo soon.”
Acclaim used to be a prolific video games publisher, until it went bankrupt in 2004. The brand name gets a second life and positioning itself as an indie label. At least two of the titles signed by the publisher are modern throwbacks: Hyperyuki and the Mega Man-esque 2D side-scrolling roguelike platformer made in Indonesia: Kidbash.
If you’re a fan of the games from the noughties in which Hyperyuki is inspired by, or just saw this immediately said “sick,” like people that lived through Y2K did, Hyperyuki: Snowboard Syndicate will bombing the slopes, not literally, sometime in 2027 on PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S.
