I was literally just playing the game when this was announced, it's wild.

Wave 1 (Out Today): New weapons based on Three Houses' Hero's Relics
- Cai gets Dimitri's spear
- Theodora gets Claude's bow
- Dietrich gets Byleth's sword
- Leda gets Edelgard's axe
Wave 2 (Holiday 2026)
- New costumes for each of the 4 Flame Lords
- Aurora, Jurah, & Smyrnos are added as playable units
Wave 3 (2027)
- New story featuring Bertrand, Taimun, Orchel, & Anatolia
- New allies, classes, & more

And yeah there was some story threads that completely vanished in part 2/3 of the game, like Illiana, can't wait for it.

I'd be more annoyed at the obvious cut story routes as dlc, but with how massive the game is taking time to finish the other routes was the right call.

I was actually just working on that, I didn't put it in the OP immediately since my computer was off at the time (again, I was mid-game in FE).

I passed the 100 hour mark and I've only just moved past the 4 routes of part 1, maybe I'll be finished with the game by the time the last wave is released and I can do it all over again with 4 more protagonists.

It's literally the longest single player game I've ever played already.

maybe I'll finally get through all the other routes before the final wave comes out. I think the 4 sub lords are more interesting than the 4 they gave us.

By the time wave 3 comes out I'll be knee deep in some other games and probably won't come back to it, but it's still cool to see. There's just so much game.

Also I'm glad I did Orchel's paralogue before seeing this, lol

I'm curious how it's going to play out. Will it be just chapter to chapter fights, or will we get a truncated version of Part 1 for each lord where they can explore the map? Other than Bertrand maybe, since he's stuck in prison.

Either way, goddamn the full game is going to be even larger than it already is. It's a good thing I'm still loving it as I just started my third route.

There is no way this is gonna double the size of the game lol. They'll be half the size of a normal path 1 or less I imagine or at least heavily truncuated.
Also not hopeful about pricing. More than 25€ and I'm gonna be annoyed.
And I agree that the 4 "sub"lords are more interesting. But might be a grass is greener kinda thing.
I'm at 90 hours and did Dietrich p1 and am in the middle of Cai. Long ass game gets longer.
