Dave The Diver Announces Subnautica 2 DLC Crossover
《Dave the Diver》在 Triple-i Showcase 公布与《Subnautica 2》的免费联动 DLC，由 Unknown Worlds 合作开发，戴夫将前往 Proteus 海洋卫星。该 DLC 计划 2027 年初上线，是游戏的最终扩展，但不确定是否终止后续更新。
免费联动 Subnautica 2 将是本作最终扩展，可观察长线运营收尾的联动策略。
New DLC is coming to Dave the Diver and it’s set to be another crossover, with the world of Subnautica 2 set to be woven into the title.
Dave the Diver has had a wealth of DLC released since it first came out in 2023, with the MintRocket title collaborating with the likes of the Like a Dragon series, alongside free updates tied to Dredge and Godzilla.
Subnautica Coming to Dave The Diver
Now, Dave is set for another adventure after the announcement of upcoming DLC tied to Subnautica 2, which was announced at the Triple-i Showcase.
A key detail revealed is that the upcoming DLC is free and was created in collaboration with Unknown Worlds, the studio behind Subnautica 2, which will see Dave and co. visit a new dimension and travel to Subnautica 2’s ocean moon, Proteus.
Speaking about the collaboration, Jaeho Hwang, Mintrocket’s studio director, said: “Both games are set underwater, but Subnautica has such a distinct approach to underwater exploration, so working with the Subnautica 2 team gives us a chance to bring a new wave to the Dave the Diver experience.”
Subnautica 2’s creative director Anthony Gallegos added: “It’s clear we both adore one another’s games a lot, and the expansion is a love letter to both Dave the Diver and the Subnautica universe. People are in for a treat.”
Launching in early 2027, the Subnautica 2 DLC for Dave the Diver is set to be the game’s final expansion, but it’s unclear whether it will also mark the end of future updates.
We do, however, already know it’s not fully the end for the characters introduced in Dave the Diver, as Mintrocket previously announced a separate title for Bancho the Chef, a cooking simulation and adventure game.
