Kid Paddle 英文翻译

Status update: Well, for one thing... I don't visit this site very regularly anymore. I'm unsure about its direction these days, no offense, I just have Opinions, and in general should probably explore other avenues to additionally spread the word... eventually. On that note, I think in general I should avoid announcing things until they're pretty much done. For multiple reasons, but one being that I don't like the pressure and expectations, and just work at whatever pace I can manage.

Well, to cut to the chase, progress has been slow, extremely slow, due to... a lot of different things going on in life. Some of them good, a lot of them, not. I'm trying to get everything finalized and ready to go, and have also been working a little at new tools for future projects, and maybe that could enhance this one in the future too... This has all been a big learning experience in how to RE games and write software based on the results, all by myself mind you. To think I only set out wanting to translate...

One interesting thing I learned? I'm really freaking bad at writing readmes, especially instructions (for how to use the patch)... anyone got some tips?

Oh and by the way, there haven't been many people who've contacted me about testing. If you're still interested in bug/playability testing, or text proofreading, I'd appreciate the help. One thing that's made things slow is having to catch the large number of mistakes I've made, as well as mistakes in the original text*, all by myself...

*The game's text has a number of mistakes in it in which the instructions it gives you are completely wrong. I didn't want to have the appearance that my translation is wrong, since it didn't match gameplay (despite being an accurate translation!) so I made the decision to alter the translation to reflect the actual gameplay... I'm not sure what everyone's stance on this kind of alteration is, but I hope I made the right choice... and also didn't miss anything. I might've.
