Looking forward to Valor Mortis.
Is the B6 campaign worth a playthrough for the shooty/bang-bang explosions at least?

Not really. Youre better off playing any of the CoDs added to the service or E Day for that
This is the first month i've seen where the majority of games coming to GP are for GPU. Looks like premium only gets one game.
I remember liking the trailer for Forever Ago, I had completely forgot it until now.
ohhh, Valor Mortis. Been super curious about that one, happy to play it on GP
Will sign up for a month just for bluey for little ones lol

And even the premium one is NEW to Ultimate I think. This is actually the first Game Pass announcement I've seen where they didn't mix a bunch of old games that are already available on Ultimate to pad the lineup.
This is also only wave 1 of the month (up until October 15 where we will get wave 2) and it looks like there are 7 day one games here. Incredibly strong lineup when you consider we just got Gears E-Day this week and Minecraft Dungeons II the previous week.
Definitely in for Valor Mortis. Maybe Echo Weaver and Forever Ago. With Well Dweller, E-Day, Plague Tale, and MCD2 to still get through, it's a busy GP run for me.
I will check out Valor Mortis and Neon Abyss 2, not a bad list of games.
Hell of a lot of day 1s. Pumped to try them all but Valor Mortis is clearly a highlight.
Too many games man ... insane.
Looking forward to Valor Mortis.

No. B6 campaign is atrocious
Leaving October 15
The following games are leaving the Game Pass library soon. Don't want the fun to end? Save on these games now before they leave Game Pass!A Plague Tale: Requiem (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Crime Scene Cleaner (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Donut County (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Evil West (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Nova Roma (Game Preview) (PC)
Pacific Drive (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Superball (Cloud, Console, and PC)
The Casting of Frank Stone (Cloud, Console, and PC)
I should probably get to finishing the last boss of E33, basically stopped playing not long after launch as I got distracted by other games with something like an hour left of the game.
How is The Casting of Frank Stone? I've seen it on cheap sales, but not much discussion.
BF6 Multiplayer is incredible now and Season 5 is also around the corner.
If you were on the fence absolutely go for it now for "free"

I didn't finish it but what I played was solid, if you like the Dark Pictures stuff the dev is known for you'll probably enjoy it.
Praying for a new Game Pass tier without any roguelikes ![]()

It's one of the lesser Supermasive Games titles, about on par with Little Hope and Devil In Me. It's not officially a Dark Pictures Anthology game, but it's definitely the same people making it with the same tech. Not their worst story but the first half of the game feels very slow. The back half picks up and the ending is decent.
If you've never played a Dark Pictures Anthology game, they are interactive horror movies that are about 4-6 hours long and the gameplay elements are generally limited to walking around environments to explore, quick time events, branching choices, and an occasional minigame of some type.
Their strengths are that they all have nice graphics, there is some novelty to having a playable horror movie, and the human performances are usually pretty good. They mostly share the same constellation of weaknesses - slow pacing (because they're 3-4x longer than the movies they're emulating), poor controls and camera, relatively little interactivity and merely so-so stories. There's also a meta problem in that they let you control who lives and dies based on how well you explore and complete the QTEs, so a competent player gets a less horrifying story. Some of them end with a "they are all doomed" type twist, some of them don't, but a horror movie where 1 main character dies in 5 hours is something that is common in this series.

Oh dang, haven't finished either Plague Tale 2 or E33. Might just have to buy both...
Thanks for the write-ups about Frank Stone. I've enjoyed all Supermassive Games, even Meh of Medan somewhat.
Realised last night Clair Obscur was leaving Game Pass next week, so i finally jumped in to see what all the hype was about - i only ever saw the initial trailer and the song performance at the Game Awards.
What the fuck, I've only just gone through the beautifully gloomy opening sequence, sailed across the sea and defeated my first Mime to win a Baguette outfit?, and i'm already in love with this game, and finding it really difficult to put down.
The music, the visual art, the characters, the writing, the bizarre story premise, and the combat are all hitting so far. Hope i can complete it in a week, but i might have to buy it while it's still on sale...

It's a banger. If you grew up playing JRPGs it's a natural evolution or homage to the genre. Up there with Lies of P for the biggest GamePass surprise.

The combat is tricky, i don't seem to be able to nail the timing for parries & dodges at all, but other than that, it's so damn good so far!
Sounds like people are in dangere of sleeping on Echo Weaver. The demo showcased a really cool Metroidvania puzzle game where you need knowledge of your environment to optimise your time loops and make progress with the focus being on learning and traversal over combat. Seemed awesome.
Heard Valor Mortis is a Souls-like but now I see it's first person only... meh.
Battlefield 6 let's go! Can't wait to try this out.
Hadn't heard of it before but Beyond These Stars seems like it'll be a winner -- gonna give it a whirl.
