Say anything. The story remembers. Free demo, October 19 to 26 on Steam.

PALO ALTO, Calif., October 19, 2026 – AImmersive Inc. is bringing OMEA, its narrative RPG played by speaking or typing what you would actually do, to Steam Next Fest with the biggest update the free demo has had since launch. Alongside Odin’s Trial, the demo now includes a second complete adventure, Echoes in the Abyss, a dark science fiction investigation on a planet that does not want you there. On Windows PCs with a GeForce RTX card, the characters’ voices are generated on the player’s own GPU, and speech recognition runs on the player’s machine on Windows, Mac and Steam Deck. The demo is free and playable throughout Next Fest, October 19 to 26.

Every character was written by a human. You are the only one improvising.

Every world is written by an author and built by game designers, with a handcrafted cast who have their own motives, remember what you said, lie to you and hold grudges. You play by saying what your character does, in your own words, and the story answers in voice, music and pictures. The narrator now keeps closer track of who is in the room with you, and of what each character wants, has promised and holds against you, for the whole adventure.

“Every other AI story product sells you a dungeon master that improvises everything, including the parts that should not be improvised. In OMEA the author decides what the world is and who lives in it; the model’s job is to let those people react to you, in their own voice, when you speak. You are the only one improvising, and that is the whole point,” says Max Salamonowicz, founder of AImmersive.

Echoes in the Abyss

A corporation is paying you to collect Dr. Marcus Finn, and the results of his work, from an oddly quiet research station on Saaremaa, a backwater planet where the universe dumps its secrets. You fly in on the Blek Vagn with a small crew whose motives stay murky for a long while, and you go down with robots who saw what happened before you got there. It is darker, more claustrophobic and more dialogue-heavy than Odin’s Trial: almost 100 locations, over 100 glossary entries and a much larger cast.

The demo includes the complete adventure.

Your voice in, their voices out, on your RTX

Speak your action into the microphone and the game understands it on your machine. On Windows PCs with a GeForce RTX GPU, every character’s voice is generated locally on that card, with the first word audible about three seconds after a line starts, and each member of the Echoes cast has a voice and effect of their own, from the ship’s radio to the robots. If the GPU is too slow, the game says so and switches to its online voices, so nobody is locked out.

A stage that breathes

The cast now moves: characters breathe, turn and shift between poses while they talk, and rooms are built in layered depth that gives depth to every scene. In Echoes, the screens in each room run, clouds cross the sky, and the cabin shakes when the ship comes down. Adventures end properly too: a victory brings an epilogue with your hero’s name on it, and a death brings an epitaph. OMEA runs on Windows, Mac and Steam Deck, with full controller support and gyro cursor control on Steam Deck.

About AImmersive Inc.

AImmersive is a team of sixteen split between Poland and Palo Alto. It builds OMEA, a narrative RPG you play by saying what your character does, in your own words, and where the world answers back. OMEA runs on AImmersive’s own narrative model; every world and every character in it is written by human authors. The OMEA demo has been on Steam since July 2026, and players spend over two hours on average in a story designed to take one.

Written by humans. Lived by you.
