《使命召唤：现代战争4》发售日：Xbox称10月23日，Steam称10月22日

Xbox Wire confirms Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23 as a standalone release, while Steam lists October 22. Early access dates explained.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on 23 October 2026 as a standalone release, but the two stores that will sell it cannot agree on the day. Xbox Wire, Microsoft’s official news channel, published the confirmation on 15 October, while the game’s Steam listing still shows a release date of 22 October 2026.

Two dates, one game

The Xbox Wire announcement is unambiguous in its headline: Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23 as a standalone release, eight days after the article went up. The Steam store page, which is still marked as coming soon, lists 22 Oct, 2026, one day earlier. Neither Microsoft nor Activision has explained the gap, which may reflect a regional unlock or timezone difference.

Early access is already running

The launch will not be a single moment. Campaign Early Access is already live, and the official Xbox account confirmed on X that it requires a pre-order. DMZ Early Access starts earlier still, on 20 October 2026. That means parts of the game, including the full campaign set against a North Korean invasion of the Korean Peninsula, are already in players’ hands ahead of the official date, and anyone avoiding spoilers has less than a week to do so.

What the Steam listing shows

The Steam page prices the PC edition at €69.99 in the Eurozone, the only figure currently available, with no UK price listed so far. It credits eight studios on development: Infinity Ward, Beenox, Digital Legends, Activision Shanghai, Raven Software, Treyarch, Sledgehammer Games and High Moon Studios, with Activision publishing. The listing covers Windows PC only and carries no review scores yet.
