Betawatch: Enshrouded launches as Guild Wars 3 starts sharing social hubs
生存建造 RPG Enshrouded 结束抢先体验推出 1.0 正式版,Guild Wars 3 公开了首个社交中枢 Warden’s Watch 的背景。该 Betawatch 周常还列出了 World of Warcraft Forever 等十余款 MMO 的测试与发售进展。
生存建造游戏 Enshrouded 结束抢先体验推出 1.0 正式版,该周报还汇总多款 MMO 测试状态便于读者比对。

We’ve long gotten jokes out of survivalboxes sitting in beta for ages, but let’s be real here, we’re seeing a lot of them launch. After all, Enshrouded has just launched into 1.0, so you can now play the game in its full launch glory. It is no longer in early access! It’s just regular access! You pay money and you access it.
You cannot currently pay money to access Guild Wars 3, early or not, but you can go ahead and check out the game’s preview of its first social hub in the upcoming game. You can also make plans to join World of Warcraft Forever in its upcoming server slam, which may or may not welcome you to the jam. And Eternal Tombs is planning to release in early March of 2027, although that’s always up in the air until it happens for solo developer projects.
As you can see, the connective tissue between all of these separate threads is that I included them all in this introduction. I do not know if that is useful as a metric, but I tend to think it is not. Do not tell me how useful it is until you have read our roundup of beta news just below, or our full rundown of games in testing below that. And then still don’t tell me, but tell me if something skipped to a new test phase down in the comments.

We consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s often under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed, nor will games that are NFT/blockchain scams; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions. Finally, we’ll mark games “malingering” if they’ve been in a certain tier of development for a long time with no clear path to launch.

Yes, MMO gamers, you too can perform the unpaid quality-control work otherwise known as game testing! Check out Massively Overpowered’s Betawatch every week for a run-down of MMOs that are still on the road to launch, even if they appear to have set up a permanent residence in a shed called early access.
