The footage comes from a recent development build that’s close to the launch version, although the team is still making some final adjustments.

The walkthrough starts with the updated interface, which gives players more control over how they navigate their save. The Portal serves as the main hub with swappable tiles, bookmarks and shortcuts that make important information easier to access. The news section has also been refreshed with major football stories, upcoming fixtures and updates from around the world, giving managers a better idea of what’s happening beyond their own club.

Training gets some attention as well, including the ability to plan sessions around upcoming opponents and copy an entire week’s schedule to make longer-term planning less of a chore. One of the bigger additions is Tactical Effectiveness, which gives managers a clearer picture of how well their squad can carry out their preferred style of play. Different gauges help identify areas that need work, whether that’s through training, scouting or bringing in new players, with direct links to the screens where adjustments can be made.

Once match day arrives, the improvements become more noticeable on the pitch with updated stadiums, lighting, weather effects and cutscenes adding to the presentation. Player movement has been improved using motion capture, bringing more realistic skill moves, defensive positioning and attacking runs into the box. Touchline shouts now affect player focus differently depending on personality, giving managers another factor to consider when trying to get a reaction from their squad.

During matches, managers can keep an eye on shot maps, heat maps, action zones, expected goals and other statistics to help make decisions. The new Tactical Tweaks feature makes it easier to change instructions on the fly, allowing multiple adjustments to be applied to the entire team or individual players for as long as needed. It’s another way to respond to what’s happening on the pitch without having to make a complete tactical overhaul.

After the final whistle, managers can quickly check league standings, top performers, competition results and how everything lines up with their season expectations.
