Independent developer Grim Page Studio has announced Too Angry to Clean, a third-person magic destruction game heading to PC via Steam in the first quarter of 2027. Built by a team of just three people using Unreal Engine 5, the game supports one to four players across a full campaign, a PvP mode, and a challenge arena. Playtest sign-ups are already open on Steam for anyone keen to get in early.

The setup is simple and wonderfully absurd. After the Order of Light defeats the villains and saves the worlds, someone has to clean up the mess. That someone is the heroine, who promptly discards the mop she was handed and opts for a rather more explosive approach to tidying. “Most games about cleaning ask you to be patient,” the Grim Page Studio team explained. “We wanted to make one for the evening when you have no patience left.” The result is a game about using magic to demolish everything in sight, from wooden crates and windmills to entire fortresses.

Destruction is the core loop here, and Grim Page Studio has leant into it fully. Every wall, roof, bridge, and tower is destructible, and the rubble left behind drops crystals used to unlock new spells. Players choose from nine abilities ranging from an ice grenade to a nuclear bomb, with upgrades boosting damage, blast radius, cast speed, and movement. The progression is satisfying by design. An area that takes ten minutes to flatten at the start of the game can apparently be levelled in ten seconds once upgrades are in place. There are ten distinct worlds to work through, including a bandit camp, a Halloween village, a scorched desert, and a pirate island, each unlocked via portals in an ancient temple.

For those who want more than the campaign, the PvP arena shakes things up with unlimited magic, per-round spell drops, and the ability to yank opponents across the map and send them crashing through buildings. Solo players also have dedicated challenge content to work through, with time trials, score challenges, and full-clear runs each offering bronze, silver, and gold medals. Completing challenges unlocks character customisation options. Notably, the campaign has no bosses and no fail states, which positions Too Angry to Clean firmly as a game about enjoyment over difficulty.

Too Angry to Clean launches on Steam in Q1 2027 and will support 14 languages, with full English audio and subtitles alongside interface and subtitle support for Russian, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Polish, Ukrainian, Czech, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, and Turkish. You can add the game to your wishlist and sign up for the playtest at the Steam page, and you can follow updates on X, Instagram, and TikTok.
