手绘暗黑奇幻合作冒险游戏《Silk & Sorrow》公布登陆Steam（预告片）

Two-person Belgian indie studio Snowberry Games has waded into the dark fantasy co-op adventure genre with Silk & Sorrow. Coming to Steam next February, the game will see a demo arrive in December. Snowberry Games are self-publishing Silk & Sorrow after two years of development. Every environment, creature and frame of animation in the game has been drawn by hand.

The game’s story centers around two children who descend into the Chrysalis, a world beneath ours where everything humanity throws away ends up, and must work together to survive its darkness. The Chrysalis once gave a new purpose to everything that fell into it. That was the work of an enormous glowworm its inhabitants called the Sun Queen, and she is dead. Without her light, the things she made are forgetting what they were made for.

The children arrive after her death when there is no light left. Almost nothing. Luckily, they quickly find Glint, a small glowing grub that provides light in the dark. Glint can only be in one place at a time. One child needs to carry the light while the other works in darkness, forcing players to communicate, coordinate and trust each other to survive.

“Glint started as a normal lantern. Then we thought, what if the thing helping these children survive was actually another creature they could care for? That small change ended up becoming one of the most important parts of the game, explains​ Mano, Game Designer at Snowberry Games.

Beyond keeping each other alive, the children must solve puzzles, fight the creatures that stalk the dark, and meet the strange characters who have built their lives among humanity’s discarded waste.
