Time-Loop Puzzles: Angel vs Devil
Players navigate time-loop puzzle chambers by alternating between opposing characters in UvsU: You vs You.
Each puzzle is made of multiple loops, where players switch between an angel and a devil with opposing goals. The angel must reach the end, and the devil must kill the angel.
Every loop is recorded, so the other characters repeat your own past actions. A puzzle is solved only when every character has met the goal of their loop. In other words, you’re your own worst enemy, and the game keeps the receipts.
Exploration, Inspirations and Story
UvsU: You vs You features a dark claymation art style with opposing angel and devil forms.
Beyond the puzzle chambers, the game emphasizes non-linear exploration, environmental discovery and knowledge-based progression. It cites Braid, The Neverhood, Animal Well and Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee as inspirations.
The story has no text and is told through handmade, stop-motion-style cutscenes. It comes from solo developer Dietzribi, who also made Toodee and Topdee, according to GameDaily.
Platforms and Languages
The game launches on Steam only, with language support for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Traditional and Simplified Chinese. The Steam page lists it as single-player.
Players can join the official Discord server for updates and follow Dietzribi on X, Instagram and TikTok. With the demo already live, anyone curious about the time-loop idea can try it before January’s launch.
