Riders can change lines
Until now, a rider only took transit if a single line reached both ends of their trip. Now, if no one line covers the trip, a rider can change lines once: ride the first line, walk at most one grid square, and catch the second. They only do it when it beats driving. Stops where riders can change wear a "+", and any two modes can meet there: a bus feeding a tram, a tram feeding the tube.
It changes how you build. A short feeder bus into a tube station now pulls real numbers.
A guided tutorial, in your browser
The Mac's full guided tutorial now runs in the demo: the same beats, spotlights and reward cards. New players can start with it from the title screen, and Play London now leads for anyone who already knows the ropes.
Your run waits for you
Close the tab and come back later: the demo now saves your run, and Continue picks it up where you left off. Starting a new run asks you first, so a misclick can't throw away a good city.
Small rewards, more often
- Your day in numbers. At the end of each day, the reward screen counts up the trips your network carried and the share that went by transit, on its own panel above your choice of upgrade.
- Close saves. Connect a destination with its ring nearly closed and the game marks the rescue with a fuller chord and the seconds you had left.
- Building feels better. Drawing, tunnelling and bridging all have new sounds, and the end-of-day count ticks along on a soft, warm climb into the reward chime.
Closer to the Mac game
- London comes alive: windows flicker by day, factories smoke, cars light up at night, and new mega-destinations rise out of the dust.
- High-separation colours for anyone who finds the destination colours hard to tell apart.
- The game-over pull-out, the warning arrows for destinations off screen, and the Credits sheet all now match the Mac.
- The HUD has the Mac's back button and pause menu, replacing the separate ? and Options buttons.
Thanks for playing, and for the feedback that shaped this one.
